Phang Nga –

A leather back sea turtle has been rescued after being stuck in fishing net in the Khura Buri district.

The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they were notified from a local fisherman, Mr. Kanchit Pattan, in the Bang Wan sub-district about the turtle.

The leatherback sea turtle was rescued after it was found stuck in a fishing net near the Pling Island. It weighs about 200 kilograms. The leatherback sea turtle was released back into the sea after the fishing net was removed.
