Phang Nga –
A sea turtle has laid 121 eggs on a beach in the Thai Mueang district.
The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) told the Phuket Express that on Saturday (January 6th) in the morning a mother sea turtle laid eggs on a beach in the Khao Lampi-Hat Thai Mueang National Park Area.
The DMCR found a sea turtle nest with 121 eggs, of those, 68 were fertile eggs. The eggs were relocated to a safer area on the beach where sea water could not reach the nest. The DMCR officials stated that the baby sea turtles should hatch in about 60 days.
