Dugong Rescued at Beach in Krabi

Krabi –

A dugong has been rescued at a beach in the Klong Thom district.

Officials from the Marine and Coastal Resources were notified from a village headman in the Sai Khao sub-district on Tuesday (October 17th) about the incident. A dugong was found stuck on the Baan Bor Mueang Beach.

Rescue teams arrived at the beach to find the dugong who was still alive. It is 2.20 meters long and weighs 200 kilograms. No wounds were found on the dugong and local residents helped to take the dugong back into the sea.
