Dugong found dead in Krabi

Krabi –

A dugong was sadly found dead on an island in Krabi.

The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) told the Phuket Express that the dead dugong was found by a local on the Tala Beng Island in the Koh Lanta district sub-district yesterday (December 29th).

The female dugong is 251 centimeters long. No severe wounds were found. No extraneous materials was found inside its intestines.

An autopsy is being conducted to identify her cause of death.
