Massage Shop Owner in Patong Arrested for Allegedly Being Open Without Permission

A man was arrested after he allegedly opened a massage shop without legal permission in Patong.

Patong Police told the Phuket Express that on Monday (September 4th) they arrested a man identified only as Mr. Witthaya, his age was not given by police, at a massage shop on the Ratcha Uthit 200 Pi Road in Patong. He was taken to the Patong Police Station for opening a massage shop without legal permission and a license.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that they are continuing an illegal massage shop crackdown to prevent crimes including sexual exploitation.

An extensive number of massage shops in Phuket have been shut down and owners arrested recently, as seen below.
