  1. Six people were injured after a small bus full of foreign tourists crashed at a curve in Wichit, Mueang Phuket.

The bus driver said he used a GPS navigator on his mobile phone before losing control at a curve. He claimed he was unfamiliar with the area.

2. An Australian man was found hanged in a cell room at the Patong Police Station in Phuket.

CCTV footage nearby clearly shows he hanged himself without anyone else involved, say Patong Police.

3. A Russian language teacher jumped to his death from a parking building at a department store in Phuket.

CCTV footage at the building shows that the Russian national was walking on the 5th floor of the parking building alone before suddenly jumping down to the ground.

4. Phuket officials have confirmed that there is NO tsunami warning after a warning sound came from tsunami warning towers in Kamala and Cherng Talay at the same time as an earthquake on Sumatra Island in Indonesia.

Relevant officials have confirmed that tsunami sirens have not malfunctioned after a warning sound came from tsunami warning towers in Kamala, Karon, and Cherng Talay in the middle of the night on April 27th, 2023.

5. The Phuket Tourist Police have announced the results of a recent tourism crime crackdown.

The results of the recent crackdown involved 258 suspects (Thais and foreigners).
