Another local route from Kathu to Patong will be ready to use in two weeks

Patong –

Another local route from Kathu to Patong will be ready to use within two weeks supported by donations by private sectors.

Our previous story:

A road leading to the Patong Hill in Phuket has started to collapse after a landslide.

Motorbikes are now allowed to pass on the partially collapsed Patong Hill Road.

The road work is being constructed by the Patong Development Foundation. The route area is donated by Preecahwut Keesin, the founder of the foundation and other private sectors. Many private sectors donated cash for the road work.

Mr. Preechawut Keesin told the Phuket Express, “The route is from the Tiger Shrine on Patong Hill to the Gokart Speedway in Kathu which is about 2.5 kilometers. This road will allow motorbike and car users which is expected to be ready to use in two weeks. We cannot miss this coming high season. This is for Patong’s economy to be recovered.”

Meanwhile a local road shortcut from Chalong to Patong will be renovated for road users.
