Road leading to Patong Hill starts to collapse after landslide

Patong –

A road leading to the Patong Hill in Phuket has started to collapse after a landslide.

Motorists who are heading from Kathu to the Patong Hill reported the damage at 3:30 P.M. this afternoon (October 19th). On one side of the road, the land started to slide which has brought down the road side surface and the guard rail.

Road users who are heading to the Patong Hill are being warned to avoid using the road. Authorities are aware of the damage and say actions will be taken as soon as heavy rains cease.

Rain continues in Phuket this afternoon causing further flooding, landslides, and general problems across the island as we have reported at The Phuket Express across the day.
