Body Found Floating Near Island in Phang Nga

Phang Nga –

A body was found floating near an island in Phang Nga.

The Royal Thai Navy Third Area Command told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they were notified from a tour boat captain that they found a body while they were travelling between the Phi Phi Island in Krabi and the Yao Island in Phang Nga. However, it was dark and the Royal Thai Navy were unable to immediately recover the body.

Last week, the Royal Thai Navy was notified that a man identified only as Mr. Soe, 36, a Myanmar national who was a boat crew member fell from a fishing boat. The boat captain searched for him immediately at that time but failed to find Mr. Soe. The Royal Thai Navy believes that it is possible that the body seen is the missing Myanmar crew member.
