Four Russians Rescued after Boat Capsizes in Mueang Phang Nga

Four Russians and a Thai tour guide have been rescued after a boat capsized in Mueang Phang Nga.

The Ao Phang Nga National Park in the Pan Yee sub-district told the Phuket Express that on Saturday (December 23rd) they were notified that a long-tail boat had capsized East of Talu Mountain in the national park area.

Four Russians, who were one male and three females, a Thai tour guide, and a boat captain were found floating in the sea. The capsized long-tail boat was found nearby. All of them were wearing life jackets. They were rescued and safely taken back to the land.

The investigation into what happened was ongoing as of press time.

A tourist speedboat, “Bandaya 19,” capsized near Bubu Island, about 3 km from Satun’s Lipe Island, Sunday (Dec 24). The boat carried 73 tourists, including 3 children and 4 crew members.
