Unidentified Foreign Tourist Injured After Arguing with Restaurant Staffer in Patong

An unidentified female foreign tourist has sustained minor injuries after she reportedly got involved in an argument with a staffer at a restaurant on the Bangla Road.

The Phuket Tourist Police told the Phuket Express that on Friday in the early morning (September 29th) a female foreign tourist and a restaurant staffer had a misunderstanding about an undisclosed issue. They began a furious verbal argument which escalated to a scuffle. The tourist fell down on the ground and sustained minor injures.

The restaurant staffer agreed to pay for the tourist’s medical treatment. The tourist does not want to take any legal action against the staffer.

As a result of the mediation, details on the scuffle and names of those involved were scarce, as Patong Police reported the issue had been settled and would not escalate further legally.
