Minors Found at Entertainment Venue in Patong

Patong –

An owner of an entertainment venue was arrested after minors were found partying at the business, say Patong Police.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that after midnight on Tuesday (September 5th) they arrested the owner of an entertainment venue on Bangla Road. (The Phuket Express noted that the Patong Police did not give any details about the owner or the full name of the venue, citing an ongoing investigation).

The owner was taken to the Patong Police Station to face charges of allowing minors under 20-years-old to enter the entertainment venue.

Under Thai law, one must be at least twenty to legally be inside an entertainment venue such as a nightclub.

Patong Police added that inspections and raids will continue and that they have continually warned entertainment venue owners not to allow minors in their venues, either as customers or to work.
