Officials Inspect Pet Shop in Rassada, Phuket After Complaints of Allegedly Selling Illegal Cigarettes

Rassada –

Officials inspected a pet shop in Rassada after they received complaints of alleged selling of illegal cigarettes.

There was nothing illegal found, though.

The Phuket City District Office told the Phuket Express that they received complaints from concerned citizens that illegal cigarettes were being sold at a pet shop near the Rassada Municipality in the Mueang Phuket district.

On Wednesday night (May 24th) a team from the Phuket City District Office and the Phuket City Police went to the pet shop.

However, law enforcement did not find any illegal cigarettes at the shop or any other illegal items and said the shop was meeting all legal requirements.

As a result, the name of the pet shop was withheld.

Three suspects have been arrested with hundreds of E-cigarettes and hundreds of boxes of illegal cigarettes in Mueang Phuket.

Phuket Police arrested two Thai women, one of whom is a 17-year-old teenager, for illegally selling contraband tobacco and vaping devices.
