Phuket has announced a total of five deaths, 51 road accidents, and 51 injuries in Songkran’s Seven Days of Danger Road Safety Campaign (April 11th to April 17th).
The Phuket Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) Office told the Phuket Express today (April 18th) details on the seventh day (April 17th) of the ‘Songkran Seven Days of Danger’ road accidents campaign.
On April 17th, two road accidents took place in the Mueang District with two injuries. One accident with one injury took place in the Thalang district. Four accidents with four injuries took place in the Kathu district.
In total on day seven, there were seven road accidents with seven injuries (2 males and 5 females). Most road accidents were caused from exceeding the speed limit and most victims were not wearing helmets.
In a total of seven days in the campaign, there were 51 road accidents with 51 injuries and five deaths (4 male 1 female).
