UPDATE: Two More Syrians Arrested with Fake UAE Passports in Phuket

Two more Syrian Men were arrested in Phuket on Wednesday (April 24th) after they were found with fake UAE passports.

Our previous story:

Syrian man was arrested at Phuket International Airport on Sunday (April 22nd) after he was found to be using a fake UAE passport.

Now for the update:

The Phuket Immigration officers told the Phuket Express that the two Syrian men had the same history as the first Syrian man that was arrested on Sunday (April 22nd). They were traveling from Songkhla and stayed at a hotel in Patong.

They checked out from the hotel on Monday (April 23rd) after the first Syrian man was arrested. Officers believed that they were trying to escape.

However, the two Syrian men were arrested at another hotel in Patong. They were taken to the Patong Police Station to face charges of possession of fake passports (UAE passports).

The names of the suspects were not released to the Thai media.
