Kamala –
A foreign man was caught on a viral video riding a motorbike on Kamala Beach.
The video clip was shared on social media on Tuesday (April 9th).
The Kamala Police Chief Colonel Somsak Thongkleang told the Phuket Express that he has ordered police to place some cones at the entrance of the beach to prevent riders and drivers from entering. Warning signs with Thai and foreign languages on them are being made to warn people not to drive on the beach as well.
Both riders and drivers might have observed jet-ski operators maneuvering pickup trucks and towing jet-skis to the beach. Observing this, they may believe they are also permitted to do so, which is not the case, added Colonel Somsak.
This is the second recent incident of someone driving on the beach, as seen below. It was unclear if the foreign man seen in the video had been identified and if he would be held legally responsible for the incident.
