Two Russian Men Arrested for Spraying Graffiti in Patong, Both Blame Cannabis for Their Actions

In Patong, two Russian nationals were apprehended on Monday, March 25th, for vandalism involving spray painting.

According to the Patong Police, as reported by the Phuket Express, the incident occurred on Saturday, March 23rd, around 9:00 PM. Witnesses observed two men defacing a footpath and a restaurant sign on Phra Baramee Road with the letters ‘HRDSRT’ and then quickly leaving the scene.

Utilizing CCTV footage, the police were able to locate their residence at an apartment on Thaweewogn Road in Patong. The suspects, identified as 23-year-old Mr. Evgenii and 22-year-old Mr. Oleg, were detained two days later.

During questioning, the individuals confessed to the act of vandalism, stating they were under the influence of cannabis at the time. They have since been conveyed to the Patong Police Station to face legal consequences for their actions and have expressed remorse for their behavior.
