Russian Man Arrested for Drunk Driving in Patong

A Russian man was arrested for drunk driving in Patong. This makes seven total foreigners arrested for drunk driving in three days in Phuket.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that they set up a checkpoint in Patong on the Sirirat Road. After midnight on Friday (March 22nd) a Russian driver was stopped at a checkpoint. He was given an alcohol breath test that showed 98 milligrams percent of alcohol which was over the limit of .50. He was taken to the Patong Police Station to face charges of drunk driving.

His name was not released to the press.
