Russian Man Arrested for Allegedly Working Illegally at Cannabis Shop in Patong

A Russian man was arrested after he was allegedly found working in a cannabis shop in Patong on Wednesday (March 20th).

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that at 11:00 P.M. on the day in question they arrested the suspect identified only as Mr. Grechko, 30, Russian national, after he was found working at a cannabis shop on the Phang Mueang Sai Kor Road in Patong.

He was taken to the Patong Police Station to face charges of working without permission. The Phuket Express adds that it is important to note that work permits and visas are not available for foreigners to work as salespeople in front of shops.
