Thalang, Phuket –

A villa owner at Yamu Beach in Paklok is going to face legal action after part of the villa encroached on the public area.

Our previous story:

The beach stairs of a villa are being ordered to be demolished after officials found they were indeed encroaching on a public beach in Paklok. This follows a viral incident involving a foreigner and a Thai doctor on the stairs. The Paklok Mayor Mr. Panya Sampaorat has filed a legal report against the villa owner over public encroaching.

Now for the update:

The Phuket Provincial Commander Major General Sunlert Sukhum told the Phuket Express on Saturday (March 2nd) that a summons had been issued for the villa company managing director identified only as Mr. Milos (nationality was not given and the company name was withheld).

He has to present himself to the Thalang Police on Wednesday March 6th. They (the company) will face legal action over public area encroaching.

It has been reported that the villa is being rented by the foreign man and his family for about 1,000,000 baht per month.

Meanwhile, Phuket officials are also reportedly planning to inspect land and title deeds for every villa in the affluent Yamu Beach area for possible beach encroachment following the viral incident.
