UPDATE: Body of Missing Teenager Found Near Koh Samui

The body of a missing male teenager was found at a beach on Koh Samui.

Our previous story:

A 15-year-old teenager died while another is missing after they went swimming in the sea off of Koh Samui.

Now for the update:

Rescue divers on Koh Samui reported that on Wednesday morning (February 28th) that a teen boy identified only as Mr. Natthaphon, 15, who went missing in the sea on Tuesday (February 27th), was found deceased at Chaweng Beach about two kilometers from where he was last seen on Samui Island.

This came after the tragic news that his friend had also passed away and been found previously. The two teen boys had gone swimming with three other teens in a No Swimming zone and a rough surf. The other three teens managed to safely make it to land and were not identified by relevant officials.

Koh Samui authorities, while noting the tragedy of the incident, also reminded the public not to go swimming in rough seas or when No Swimming flags were up.
