Phang Nga –

A mother sea turtle laid 78 eggs on an island in Phang Nga.

The head of the Similan National Park Mr. Dome Jansuwan told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they were patrolling on the Meang Island in the national Park area. They found a trace of a mother sea turtle on the beach with the nest. Inside the nest they found in total 78 sea turtle eggs.

The eggs were relocated to a safer area on the beach where sea water could not reach the nest. The park officials stated that the baby sea turtles should hatch in about 60 days.
