Fire Destroys Car in Kamala

Kamala –

A fire damaged a parked car in Kamala.

Kamala firefighters were notified of the fire on Sunday (February 11th) at 7:30 P.M. near a house in Baan Bang Wan in Kamala. They arrived at the scene with a fire engine to find a sedan that was heavily ablaze. It took about 20 minutes to control the fire. The sedan was totally destroyed.

Local residents told The Phuket Express that someone had cut grass before burning the grass in a nearby area. There was a strong wind and sparks from the fire got onto the sedan and it quickly caught fire.

It was unclear if the fire burners would be tracked down and held legally responsible for the fire and damages.
