Counterfeit Goods Seized in Patong Worth 10 Million Baht

More than 500 counterfeit goods were seized at shops in Patong and collectively were worth more than 10 million baht.

The Region 8 Police told the Phuket Express that on Sunday (January 28th) they raided shops on the Ratch Uthit 200 Pi Road. The raid came after they were notified by a company which sold genuine brand name goods such as GUCCI, BALENCIAGA, ADIDAS, ALEXANDER and McQUEEN.

Officers found four shops in possession of a total of more than 500 counterfeit brand name items representing a loss of more than 10 million baht in damages to the brands involved.

Three Thais and immigrants were arrested at the four shops. They were taken to Patong Police Station to face charges of selling counterfeit brand name goods. Their names were not released.
