Phang Nga –
A mother leatherback sea turtle laid 135 eggs on a beach in the Thai Mueang district.
The Khao Lampi Hat Thai Mueang National Park office told the Phuket Express that they found a trace of a mother sea turtle on the Thai Mueang Beach. They found a sea turtle nest with 135 leatherback sea turtle eggs. Of those, 92 were fertile eggs.
The eggs were relocated to a safer area on the beach where sea water could not reach the nest. The park officials stated that the baby sea turtles should hatch in about 60 days.
