Foreigner and Six Thais Arrested Selling Baraku, E-Cigarettes, and Illegal Cigarettes on Bangla Road

Officers arrested a foreigner and six Thai vendors after they were found selling Baraku, illegal cigarettes and e-cigarettes on Bangla Road in Patong.

Phuket Administrative Officers told the Phuket Express that on Wednesday night (January 17th), they arrested a total of seven suspects. Six of them were Thai vendors who were found selling e-cigarettes and illegal cigarettes (unpaid tax) on the Bangla Road.

One of them is a foreign shop manager. Seized from him at a shop were many items of Baraku.

All seven suspects were taken to the Patong Police Station for further legal actions.

The Phuket Express noted that Baraku and E-cigarettes are illegal to be imported to Thailand. The names of those arrested were not released to the press.
