Twenty Illegal Myanmar Workers Arrested in Phuket

Twenty illegal Myanmar workers were arrested at a construction site in Wichit.

The Phuket Provincial Police told the Phuket Express that on Friday (January 12th) they inspected a construction site in Wichit, Mueang Phuket after they were notified of illegal workers by a concerned citizen.

Twenty Myanmar workers were arrested. Of those, 13 are men and seven are women. They were taken to the Wichit Police Station to face charges of entering the country without permission.
