More Underground Cables Planned for Phuket Town

The Phuket Municipality is planning a project to put more cables underground in Phuket Town.

A major underground cable construction project on Phuket Road in Bang Naew, Phuket Town has started.

Now for the update:

The Phuket City Mayor Mr. Saroj Angkanapailart told The Phuket Express that Phuket City is planning more underground cables on parts of the Thep Krasattri Road, Dibuk Road, and Phuket Road, for a total length of 2.8 kilometers.

On Thep Krasattri Road the project will be from the Kosit Wiharn Temple to the Tur Pho Intersection. On the Dibuk Road it will be from the Lok Tien Intersection to Tur Pho Intersection. On the Phuket Road it will be from the Phra Aram Bridge to the Bang Naew Intersection.

The project will take 360 days and has a 115,565,350 Baht budget. Road users and residents will be informed before the construction work starts.
