Krabi –

A dolphin was found dead on a beach in Krabi.

The head of the Than Bok Khorani National Park Mr. Siriwat Suebsai told the Phuket Express that he was notified from a village headman earlier this week about the sad incident. Local fishermen had found a dead dolphin on the Ao Muang Beach in the Ao Luek district.

They arrived at the scene to find the dead female dolphin. No wounds were found on the outside of the dead dolphin. It was 2.37 meters long and weighed 200 kilograms.

The dead dolphin was taken to the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources Office for an autopsy to find the exact cause of death.

A dead sea turtle was also recently found in Phuket.
