Woman Arrested For Selling Floating Lanterns at Patong Beach

A woman was arrested after she was found selling floating lanterns without permission on Patong beach.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that after midnight on Friday (September 29th) they arrested a woman at Patong Beach behind the Bangla Police Box on the Thaweewong Road. Seized from her were three floating lanterns.

She was taken to Patong Police Station to face charges of selling floating lanterns on a public walkway.

The Phuket Express noted that the Patong Police did not reveal her name and age. This continues a series of recent arrests and crackdowns on fireworks and floating lanterns in Patong.
