Officials Continue to Crackdown on Illegal Drugs in Rawai

Officials have continued the crackdown in a local village in Rawai where illegal drugs are widely distributed.

The Phuket City Police told the Phuket Express that on Wednesday (September 27th) about 130 officials and staff from the Phuket City District Office, the Chalong Police, and the pubic health office searched three targeted drug suspect’s houses. Two of the targets were found, they were taken to the Chalong Police Station.

Ten people in the three target’s families were randomly tested for illegal drugs. Six of them tested positive for illegal drugs in urine. They were also taken to Chalong Police Station.

Names were not released by police.
