UPDATE: Body Found on Beach in Thalang, Phuket

Thalang –

A body of a Thai man was found on large rocks at a beach in the Thalang district.

Our previous story:

A Thai man has been reported missing after he went swimming in the sea ignoring red flags at a beach in Thalang.

Now for the update:

The Cherng Talay Police were notified of the body at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday (August 1st) at the Surin Beach in Cherng Talay.

Police and rescue workers arrived at the beach to find the male body lying on a large rock at the beach. The body is still being positively identified by relevant officials to conclusively see if the body is indeed the same Thai man, Mr. Tawat Siracha, 44, from Phitsalunok, who went missing after going swimming recently.

However, friends of Tawat have unofficially confirmed to The Phuket Express that the body was indeed Mr. Tawat. The names of the friends were withheld for their privacy.

The body of a missing Senegalese tourist has washed ashore in the Karon sub-district of Phuket today after he went missing in the rough sea on July 28th.
