Injured Monkey Rescued in Phuket

Phuket –

An injured monkey has been rescued in a residential area of Thalang.

The head of the Khao Phra Thaeo Nature and Wildlife Study Center, Mr. Pongchart Chueahom, told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they were notified by locals that there was a lost and injured monkey in Soi Nok Na.

It is a Southern pig-tailed macaque. The monkey had been injured but the type of injury was not disclosed. It is being provided with treatment by veterinarians before being released back safely to a local forest.
