Phuket –

An injured monkey has been rescued on a hill in Phuket.

The head of the Khao Phra Thaeo Nature and Wildlife Study Center, Mr. Pongchart Chueahom, told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they were notified by locals that there was an injured baby monkey on Toh Sae Hill in Rassada.

The monkey had been injured on both legs after it was bitten by other monkeys and could not move either of its legs. It is a male Southern pig-tailed macaque.

The monkey is being provided with treatment by veterinarians.
