The Phuket Marine Office has issued another warning that small boats are being temporarily banned from leaving ports into the open sea due to inclement weather until July 20th, 2023.

The Phuket Marine Office Chief Mr. Nachapong Pranit told the Phuket Express that according to the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) heavy rains are taking place along with strong waves in the Andaman Sea, up to three meters high in the open sea or more than three meters high in thunderstorm areas until July 20th, 2023.

The Phuket Marine Office issued a warning on Tuesday (July 18th) for boat captains to be more careful when traveling at sea. Small boats of less than 10 meters length are BANNED from leaving ports into the open sea until Thursday (July 20th), 2023.
