Woman Arrested for Selling Fireworks at Patong Beach

Patong –

A woman was arrested for selling fireworks at Patong Beach.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that over the past weekend they have arrested an unidentified woman near the Banana Walk at Patong Beach. Seized from her were four firework sticks. She was taken to the Patong Police Station for selling fireworks without permission.

This has not been the first recent issue with illegal firework sales in Patong, as we covered below.

Floating lanterns and fireworks were seized on the Patong beach after complaints.

The Patong Municipality has warned the public that no fireworks or floating lanterns are allowed for any event, unless special approval is given by Patong officials, with punishment strictly being enforced.
