UPDATE: Student Pronounced Dead After Motorbike Collision With Bus in Koh Kaew, Phuket

A rider who is a student who sustained serious injuries after their motorbike collided with a bus in Koh Kaew, Mueang Phuket, has later been pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Our previous story:

Emergency responders were notified of the accident on Tuesday morning (May 30th) on the Thep Krasattri Road on the South bound lane near the Bang Khu Underpass.

Now for the update:

The 17-year-old student rider who had sustained severe injuries at the scene has later been pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The bus driver Mr. Panuwat Jakkarat, 36 told police he was coming out from a gas station onto the middle lane before he heard the crash. Local residents nearby told The Phuket Express that they heard a loud noise like a tire explosion. They later found that the student rider had crashed his motorbike.

The Phuket City Police are continuing their investigation to find the exact cause of the accident for possible further legal action.

The name of the teenage victim was withheld due to his age.
