Phuket Taxi Motorbike Rider Fined After Being Rude to Customer

A taxi motorbike rider was fined after he was caught being impolite and unprofessional with a passenger in Patong.

The Phuket Land Transport Office Chief Mr. Atcha Buajan told the Phuket Express that a video clip of a taxi rider being impolite complete with rude words to a female Thai passenger has gone viral on local social media.

The incident was on the Rat Uthit 200 Road in Patong.

The motorbike taxi rider was later identified by Patong Police only as Mr. Prasertchai, 37, from Nakhon Si Thammarat. He was taken to the Patong Police Station.

Mr. Atcha told the Phuket Express that the taxi motorbike rider is facing charges of using his personal motorbike as a taxi motorbike, driving with an expired driving license, driving a motorbike with expired tax, and not wearing a helmet.

Prasertchai was fined in total 2,500 baht.
