Kathu –

More than 3,000 runners joined in the Kathu Half Marathon 25th Anniversary Edition yesterday (December 11th).

The marathon was led by Phuket Vice Governor Amnuay Pinsuwan and the Kathu District Chief Mr. Chaianan Sutthikun.

Mr. Chaianan told The Phuket Express, “The Kathu Half Marathon is successful as many runners joined in the event, more than we have expected. Thais and foreign runners from fifteen countries joined in four types of races in the marathon which were the Walk for Heath for 2.5 kilometers with no age limit, Fun Run for 6 kilometers, Mini Marathon for 10.5 kilometers and a Half Marathon for 21 kilometers.”

“The Kathu Municipality has also supported sports as part of our local tourism and economy development,” Mr. Chaianan added.
