Patong beach bed operators requesting to extend working zones

Patong –

Patong beach bed local operators are requesting to extend their working zones due to more tourists coming.

Mr. Preechawut ‘Prab’ Keesin, who is also the president of the Patong Beach Bed Local Operators, told the Phuket Express the following

“Local operators are requesting to expand their beach bed and massage zones as more tourists are coming to Patong.”

“Normally, they are allowed ten percent of the beach for their working zone. However, in this high season, we are requesting to extend to 20 percent zoning of the beach.” Prab said.

“We are also managing complaints on beach bed and massage operators outside the legal zones as well as other vendors at night time. Patong Beach must remain a beautiful beach with cleanliness and safety.” Prab concluded.

The annual Patong Carnival will be held this month to mark the official opening of the Phuket tourism high season.
