The Kathu District Chief Mr. Siwat Rawangkun told the Phuket Express: “The marathon will be held next month on December 11th. There will be at least 2,500 runners joining in the marathon.”

“There are four types of races in the marathon which are Walk for Heath for 2.5 kilometers with no age limit, Fun Run for 6 kilometers, Mini Marathon for 10.5 kilometers and a Half Marathon for 21 kilometers.”

“There will be more than 80,000 baht in rewards in total for winners in each category. We will also have rewards for the youngest runner, the oldest runner, twin runners, and fancy costume runners.”

“Kathu is a suitable area for marathons with many beautiful routes in the original Phuket local community. We are supporting people to have good health by exercising.” Siwat concluded.
