Nine power poles block minor road near airport in Thalang

Thalang, Phuket –

Nine high-voltage power poles have fallen and blocked a minor road near the Phuket International Airport in Thalang.

The Tha Chatchai Police reported this morning (October 20th) that nine high-voltage power poles have fallen on a minor road near the airport in the Maikhao sub-district.

However, the road does not effect the main Thep Kasattri Road and most of the traffic. Electricity Authority staffers are fixing the power poles and electricity has been shut off in some areas.

Meanwhile residents in the Chalong sub-district, Mueang Phuket district have had blackouts for eight hours after five high-voltage power poles have fallen due to bad weather and road users are suffering from traffic jams.
