A swimming pool behind Kathu District Office has reopened after a renovation.
Mr. Rewat Areerob, President of the Phuket Provincial Administrative Office, told The Phuket Express, “The swimming pool has been abandoned for many years. The Phuket Provincial Administrative Office used their budget and renovated the swimming pool for public use and for sport swimming.
“There is also a swimming training project for children to develop their swimming skills. They can use their time for exercising and stay away from drugs.”
“Students from six government schools in Kathu, in total 115, have taken part in the swimming training.”
“The swimming pool is behind the Kathu District Office which is open every day.” Rewat concluded.
