Russian National Arrested in Phuket for Alleged Illegal Motorbike Riding Lessons

Phuket, Thailand –On Sunday, June 23rd, the Phuket Tourist Police apprehended a suspect identified only as Mr. Roman, a 29-year-old Russian national, in Kathu. The arrest came after he advertised motorbike riding lessons on Instagram, garnering positive reviews from foreign customers.

Officers found Mr. Roman at a parking area in an old floating market, where he was providing a riding lesson to a female foreign customer wearing a riding uniform on a motorbike. The lesson was priced at 2,000 baht for three days.

Mr. Roman informed the police that he was teaching the Russian woman how to ride a motorbike.

However, he now faces charges of working without legal permission and has been taken to thr Kathu Police Station for further proceedings.
