Samui Island, Surat Thani –

A dead dolphin was washed ashore at a beach on Samui Island.

Officers from the Samui District Offices told the Phuket Express they were notified of a dead dolphin on Thursday (March 9th) in the Hua Thanon Beach in Maret sub-district.

They arrived on the beach to find the dead dolphin. The Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center and The Central Gulf Centre of Thailand in Chumphon has been contacted.

The dead dolphin was buried on the beach while waiting for staffers from the centre to take the dead dolphin for an autopsy to find the cause of death.
