Phuket –
Investigators from Muang Phuket Police Station, working with the Phuket Provincial Public Health Office, raided a condominium unit in Wichit, after receiving complaints from customers who had ordered weight-loss pens online.
During the search, officers discovered a large stock of weight-loss pens and related products totaling more than 1,500 items. Authorities estimated the seized goods at approximately 5.5 million baht and confiscated them for further examination.

Initial findings raised questions about whether the products had received proper uthorization from the Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Officials are also checking whether any of the items may be counterfeit medicines.
The seized materials and product samples will undergo laboratory testing to determine their exact composition and registration status. Results from these tests will guide decisions on potential criminal charges against those involved, in accordance with relevant laws.
Weight loss pens also legally need prescriptions to be sold and purchased, notes The Phuket Express.
