Thai police, working in close coordination with the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), have arrested an American man wanted on multiple charges of child sexual abuse.
Authorities identified the suspect as Mr. Lance, 48, a U.S. national, who is the subject of eight arrest warrants issued in the United States, seven from the State of Alabama and one federal warrant. The charges include sexual torture, rape, human trafficking, facilitating the travel of minors for unlawful sexual acts, sexual abuse, and incest. Investigators allege Beck abused children under the age of 14 and recorded videos of the assaults before fleeing to Thailand.
Joint investigative teams from the Metropolitan Police Bureau, Immigration Division 3, and Sakhu Police Station in Phuket tracked Beck’s movements. He was found to have entered Thailand through Phuket International Airport and was staying at a hotel near Naiyang Beach in Thalang .
On August 29th, 2026, at approximately 2:15 p.m., officers moved in and detained Beck at the hotel. He was formally notified of the revocation of his permission to remain in Thailand and admitted his identity. He was then transferred to the Immigration Detention Center in Bangkok to await extradition proceedings back to the United States.
The arrest was made possible through close cooperation with the FBI’s Bangkok office, led by Mr. Benjamin Vitue, Law Enforcement Attaché, and Mr. Nicholas Vicencia, Assistant Law Enforcement Attaché. Thai authorities stated that the operation not only prevents further crimes in Thailand but also demonstrates the strong law enforcement partnership between Thailand and the United States.
