Phuket Continues to Tighten Oversight of Shooting Ranges

Phuket officials have stepped up inspections of local shooting ranges, enforcing stricter compliance with firearms regulations and safety standards to reassure the public.

This week Mr. Siwatch Rawangkul, District Chief of Mueang Phuket and Acting Provincial Secretary, led a coordinated operation . The team inspected four shooting ranges across Chalong and Rawai. The initiative was carried out overseeing security affairs. Authorities focused on verifying operating licenses, monitoring firearm management, and reviewing safety protocols at each facility.

Officials stated that the inspections goal was to ensure all shooting ranges operate within the law, maintain strict control over weapons, and implement safety measures. By tightening oversight, the province seeks to build public confidence and safeguard both residents and visitors who use these facilities.
