Phuket police have fined a Russian man after a video of a white BMW sedan drifting dangerously in a convenience store parking lot near Surin Beach went viral on social media.
The Cherng Talay Police told the Phuket Express that the incident occurred late on August 7th, when the vehicle was seen spinning and revving loudly in the crowded area of Choeng Thale Subdistrict. Witnesses captured both photos and video clips of the stunt, which quickly spread online and drew public concern.
Investigators identified the driver, believed to be a Russian national, and summoned him to meet with the duty investigator. Authorities confirmed that the man was charged with reckless driving and fined accordingly.
