Phuket police have carried out a high-profile operation in the heart of the city, arresting a Myanmar national and seizing more than one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine along with a red-plated vehicle believed to be linked to the crime.
Police told the Phuket Express that they executed a coordinated raid, searching the suspect’s residence and nearby hideouts where the drugs were concealed. The operation uncovered not only the narcotics but also equipment used for packaging and storing the drugs.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene, while authorities impounded the vehicle allegedly used in the trafficking operation. Police confirmed that the evidence will be used to pursue charges and to expand the investigation into the wider network behind the distribution.
